Marion County Health Department has
officially identified the norovirus (aka "cruise ship virus") as the cause of illness for what now totals 370 people, all patrons of a local Olive Garden last week. The virus mimics a food-bourne illness both in symptoms and how it's transmitted. No word on when the restaurant will reopen.
I wonder if I picked this up from someone when I was out to eat on Friday (but not at the Olive Garden). On Saturday morning, I woke up with all the symptoms of this stuff and it was basically out of my system by Sunday. Not the worst stuff I've ever had, but not pleasant.
