Culinary Expressions Cafe

Want to support a local culinary school student program? Then don't forget to make your reservations for the annual Culinary Expressions Cafe at Ivy Tech. For the next two Thursdays (they opened last week), students will demonstrate their newly learned skills serving the public cuisines from around the world. Coming up?

October 4 -- Asian Buffet

October 11-November 15 -- a' la carte menu with dishes from Mexico, South America, France, Italy, and Spain.

Cafe is open 6:00-8:00 p.m. in room 407 at Ivy Tech Community College on Fall Creek Parkway. Call 921-4450 for reservations. Cash only.

I urge you to try this if you haven't already. It's an incredible food experience; a way of having 4 star restaurant food at a fraction of the cost! What a fun, enjoyable evening for all!

Do you know the ballpark prices on this? It sounds intriguing...

Not that expensive as I recall -- maybe $20 a person? They'll know if you call.

And don't go in thinking this is a 4-star experience. It's not -- by a long shot. *But* these are dedicated culinary students, they need customers to gain valuable experience, and the food will be fine (Chef Thom sees to that). Most importantly the instructors will be apprceciative that you chose to come help out their students.
