Three Latest and Best
Stone Crab Claws at The Oceanaire: Even with other treats (a Thai snapper sashimi dish, shrimp with kombu and macadamias with a ginger dressing, and butter poached lobster with crispy sweetbreads, clementines and vanilla bean), the stone crab claws were the stars of a recent dinner at The Oceanaire. If you're not able to head down to the Gulf this time of year, you can feast on these beauties at home. The Oceanaire has plenty of these black-tipped Florida stone crab claws piled high on ice and served with a perfectly tangy mustard mayo. (And a huge special award to my favorite treat of the meal -- the crispy fried sweetbreads. Oh, so good.) Best wine of the night? The 2005 Mer Soleil Chardonney which I've seen making the rounds on a few dinner menus lately and good with the crab. Best pairing? The fun 2006 Scagiola Moscato d'Asti with the key lime pie -- both hit the spot.

Oooh, what's Frito pie?
(I'm going to pretend I didn't read that :-) Added a link to the post that should answer your question.
Sorry for all the deletions -- those are me with multi-post fu.
Mussaman curry is my absolute favorite. I wish I had some right now. Do you think they will deliver to Geist? :)
So, this is totally off topic, but I thought I would give an update about how awesome it was so visit Vosges Chocolate at Caesar's Palace in Vegas.
I bought tons of gifts for my friends and they let you pick your own chocolates for specialized boxes. I finally tried their toffee and carmel (YUM!!), but still haven't had their marshmallows. Everyone loved their gifts.
Another side note related to Mussaman curry. We went to Lotus of Siam which is about 10 minutes from the Strip and I got their panang curry, which is similar to Mussaman and it was delicious. It was even better than Sawasdee.
You wanna stay warm? Try Stone Brewery's 'Arrogant Bastard' line. Dark ales and the best you'll have. 21st Amendment (56th & Ill.)carries 'em, and Badaboom's has had the Oaked Bastard on tap. (It's 16 bucks a six and worth it. The cask aging rolls off the bitter finish and adds wood & a trace of smoke.) The Double Bastard weighs in at over 10% alcohol. Also, get Bell's Winter White before spring. The spice and fruit notes aren't too burly; just right. Them's my 3!
