So Long, Chanteclair

Wine geeks, franco-philes, and fans across the city are mourning the news today -- Chanteclair, the classic French standby at the airport Holiday Inn is closing for good March 1. Sad for me as several of us in a dining group had a dinner expedition planned next month. (At least one set of friends laments they'll have to find a new special occasion restaurant for New Year's Eve.) For me? Chanteclair always cued an endless earworm of Snoop Dogg "chillin' at the Holiday Inn."
