Terra Madre Deadlines

Both Slow Food Indy and Slow Food Bloomington are letting members, chefs, and interested parties know that April 30 is the deadline for applications to become a delegate for this year's Terra Madre 2008 conference. Delegate spots are available for farmers, producers, chefs, and educators. Terra Madre is the bi-annual conference held in Italy as a worldwide celebration of artisinal food.

Terra Madre applications now available on-line and due by April 30. An international network of farmers, food producers, cooks, and academics from 148 countries, Slow Food hosts Terra Madre as a way for sustainable food producers and farmers to connect and share their practices with others across the globe. Delegates will gather in Torino, Italy, during October 23-27, 2008. All delegates attending Terra Madre will have free accommodation for the entire duration of the event.
