Get Ready, Get Set, Go Weekend!

Heading out to the track today? Getting ready for Sunday? I'm back in the bunker on this book (due to the publisher in the next couple of weeks) and looking forward to the Memorial Day weekend as a long, uninterrupted weekend of work. The rest of you have no excuse! Parties, BBQs and great weather are in order! Whether you hit the parade, the race or both, here are a couple of links to hold you over.

*These track-legal microbrew mini-kegs are just brilliant. Could anything be better? Spend your day with some Bell's Oberon. [Hoosier Beer Geek]

*Looks like the trotters didn't go much better than the tripe. Maybe some things at the French Laundry are best left to the experts. [French Laundry at Home]

I feel your pain. It's a work weekend for me, too.

Thanks for the link!

Sorry for the shameless self promotion, but if you are headed to the parade tomorrow, King David Dogs will be open on Saturday, serving our all beef 1/4 lb dogs at 9:00 a.m. Keep an eye out for a lady in a giant hotdog costume handing out coupons!

actually, it's a work weekend for me too.

I usually cook up something on a Friday to make it less horrible.

Tonight are tacos with tortillas made from scratch..

Work weekend here. For Izzy and Greys we are working the Traders Point Creamery FM tonight, Broad Ripple Farmers Market in the morning and regular dinner service tonight and tomorrow. Then we're taking the staff to the race on Sunday.
Fried Chicken, Smoked Pork Shoulder, Brats, Potato Salad, Pasta salad, Seven Layer Dip, Budweiser, Corona and Tequila!

As they say, all work and no play...
