National Taste of Elegance Pork Competition

Chef Brandon Hamilton is back from the National Taste of Elegance pork competition in San Diego where he made it to the finals. Hamilton was one of 21 chefs competing from across the country and one of 8 selected for the round with his Trotters with Shagbark/Pork Custard. The winner was Tyler Wiard from Elway's Steakhouse in Denver. Other finalists included:

2nd: Tim Bucci, Superior Chef Award and $2,000 with his Juniper Brined Pork Loin with Bratwurst Mantle
3rd: Forrest Parker, Premium Chef Award and $1,000 with his Spice Rubbed and Shagbark Lacquered Pork Loin, Sweet Potato Hash and Green Bean Casserole.

Ian Sullivan of Vivace in Raleigh, N.C.
Shad Kirton of Absolute Flavors & Smokey D's BBQ in Des Moines, Iowa
Brandon Hamilton of Traders Point Creamery Café in Indianapolis, Ind.
Kevin Storm of Bellerive Country Club in Ballwin, Mo.
Tyler Honke of Tre Lounge in Sioux Falls, S.D.
