Question from a Reader: Paulie's

Hey, all you southside afficianados, a reader asks for help sleuthing down information on Paulie's. He writes:

A couple of years ago there was a restaurant on the southside, Paulies. It was at Southport and 37. They had the best Lasagna I have had in Indy. They closed up shop and my wife was wondering if anyone knew if the chef or anyone was making their food anywhere else.

Anyone have any information?

Wow... I don't remember who the chef was but Paul Page was the owner. I'm sure he had his hands in the menu if he wasn't the actual chef. Not sure what he's up to these days, though.

The people who bought the restaurant, the Osgoods, would probably know or at least have information on the people from Paulie's. The restaurant that is now there is called Piper's. It's great, but not Italian. I'm sure they could help you out...

Paul Page is the Paulie of Paulie's, he was the chef/proprietor. He's been the GM of the Lafayette (IN) Country Club for over two years now.
