Farmer's Market Schedules

A reader asked when Farmer's Markets wind down for this season. Here are a few of the more popular ones. The full list has more complete information. Most run through the last Saturday in October including:

Broad Ripple
Fairgrounds
Downtown City Market
Binford
Trader's Point

38th/Illinois: listed as running through early October
Zionsville and Carmel run through mid-October.
Update: Erin reports Carmel runs through the end of September.
I'll see if I can't put together a list of Winter markets in the next few weeks.

Carmel runs through next weekend (Sept. 27). Traders Point goes through the end of October and then switches to their Saturday morning winter market in November.
This weekend the weather is going to be glorious, so get your butts out there!

While it's not really a farmer's market, the produce stand at 54th and College has won a fan.

My daughter and I dragged our wagon down to take advantage of their bumper crop of pumpkins and made off with potatoes, tomatoes and gourds, too.

While the vegetables look great -- they have great looking fruit, too -- the folks there are so friendly you just want to buy more so they'll be sure to stick around.

We're all about using canvass bags at the grocery and rather than give me plastic bags for the smaller stuff, they gave me a little basket to carry our little stuff away. The pumpkins took up most of the wagon space..

Love them!
