Monday Morning Miscellaney

Last Supper: Had a great dinner at L'explorateur on Friday. It was great to see the place packed like I'd never seen it -- the bar full and many, many diners. What a way to celebrate and bid adieu to the escargot ravioli, sweetbreads, and cassoulet.

Zoobiliation Tix Today: Don't forget Zoobiliation tickets go on sale today celebrating the Komodo Dragon! This massive black tie affair is one of the best nights of the year, but don't wait! Last year, the $225 tickets sold out in two weeks. Online purchase only.

We were at L'ex on Friday night as well. Was great.

As I sat and ate, I realized that while I really appreciate the "homeliness" of the Broad Ripple house cum restaurant, I think a scaled up downtown space will bring in the big spenders a little more.

(Which is to say not me; we sold our DVD collection on Ebay to afford to go! Ha!)

Hey John and BG thanks for coming out this weekend!

John, if I may be so bold, I'd like to make just one little correction to your post....I think (hope) you meant to say "homeyness".

;)

Hey there Gastroholic--being a serious anglophile and a closet monarchist, I like John's spelling. As adjectives, Brits prefer homely, while we here in the good ol' US of A use homey. In truth, I'd much rather be anticipating another visit to L'x than sitting here typing these thoughts. Oh well...
