Bits and Pieces: Wine, Signs, and HANK

Wine Auction in the Star: Cathy Kightlinger gave the chairs of the Elegant Vintages Wine Auction a nice shout-out in her column last week. Of course, with a room full of bold-faced names, it's appropriate she should give props to the folks who make it all happen. Thanks to all who attended and bought wine to benefit the Indianapolis Zoo.

Euphoria and Creation Cafe, Now with Signs! Chef Brad Gates left me a phone message last week to let me know they were getting signage at last! It's the one thing I always ask about every time we chat. By the end of the month, look for signage at Creation Cafe and Euphoria to be officially installed.

Comfort Cookin' with HANK-FM: When pals Ed Wank and Dave O'Brien of HANK-FM, ask for a favor, I'm happy to oblige. On Saturday, joined IM's Beth Clayton and Heidi Dennis from Pearls and Ivy Catering to choose the winner of the American Dairy Association's Comfort Food Cookoff. We chose a chicken casserole with sage biscuits on top but there was a chocolate gravy served over biscuits (with melted butter on top, can you believe it?!) that was a close second.
