Just What We Need: More Meat

The IBJ is reporting Weber Grill might be moving into the former Old Navy location downtown on Illinois. No one at Simon or the restaurant is talking except to say the space would be split for two restaurants. Meanwhile, "sources" say the Chicago-based Weber say they are close to signing the deal. The steak house has three locations in Chicago and is looking to expand with another large format space. I suppose there may be two schools of thought about putting yet another meat house in downtown Indy. But for the tourist class, it's probably a good idea -- familiar yet exotic and in the right price range. We'll see if they sign. Bring on the meat!
