Hangover Helper -- Best 8 Meals for the Morning After

In honor of a certain food editor's birthday party last evening, I post the information we're all looking for today: The Cure for a Hangover. Short of pre-hydrating, there is no real cure (sleep, chicken-fried steak, greasy anything, water, and Advil aside) except for another drink which does help amazingly enough. However, here are some helpful tips for prevention -- maybe for next year.

Thanks to our fantastic host and those who made food. Kudos to the rumaki makers and bakers. The bacon was perfectly crispy. And, bonus -- gorgeous cake. Much good wine was consumed. (And thanks to Slashfood for the pointers:)

**Drink, drink, drink...water, that is. Some say you should match water for cocktails one-to-one. Others advocate drinking tons of water before. Either way, lots of water will help counteract the dehydrating effects of alcohol.

** The Fourth Meal: Eating before bed is a good idea. Although remember, your judgement is impaired and that Taco Bell you thought was such a good idea at the time? It wasn't. Pasta is apparently a good idea (although I think anything carb-heavy will do the trick.) And grease is always appealing. Although not as appealing as the next morning.

** Treatment in the Morning: Here's a list of Best 8 Meals for the Morning After. Rate your favorites or add your own.
