Nov 16 -- Beaujolais Nouveau 2006 est arrive!

Beaujolais Day is coming! Don't forget the new wine from France will be here this Thursday, Nov. 16. Perfect for the holidays, this light, fruity brew is inexpensive and fresh. It also doesn't last long. Drink it now because it's perfect for Thanksgiving and Christmas and won't last through Easter.

Kahn's will have tastings as usual all day, Nov 16 -- featuring the Joseph Drouhin and Georges Duboeuf le nouveau.

And L'explorateur will also be having a Beaujolais Day release party, Thursday, Nov 16, 5:30-7:30. From Neal and Lindy:

L'explorateur is very excited to announce our Inaugural Beaujolais Nouveau Release Party. After several minutes of careful consideration, Lindy, the staff and I decided that ignoring this "Wine Holiday" would be criminal. So this is your official invitation! Le Laboratoiore staff will be preparing a myriad of Loire Valley inspired snacks to accompany this years release of this casual drinking wine. The atmosphere will be casual and so is the price, twenty bucks gets you in the door to help us celebrate great wine, great food and great friends. The Party is from 4:30 until 6:30 at which time we hope you will stick around for dinner.

See you there! and Happy Beaujolais Day!
