We Have Fans!

What a treat last night! Not only did we thoroughly enjoy Neal Brown's Seven Deadly Sins dinner at L'Explorateur, but we also had fans! Shout outs to Ellen and company at the table next to us as well as fellow beer geek Kelly's roommate! The food was fantastic, the pairings spot on, and a good time was had by all. The favorites at our table? Wrath (yellow tail ceviche with spicy chiles and crisp pickled cucumbers on a warm, crunchy wonton wrapper), Pride (filet mignon with mashed potatoes and a tremendous puree of carrots in a red wine reduction); Sloth (snapping turtle soup with a perfect wine pairing); and Greed (amazingly cooked pork cheeks with a ragout of tomatoes and onions and a parsnip puree.) All so simple and all so irresistible -- just like the seven deadly sins themselves.
