Dining on Christmas Eve

While very few restaurants are open tomorrow for Christmas Day, we found a large number opted to stay open on Christmas Eve to take advantage of out-of-towners, downtown crowds, and revelers of all ages. Many fine dining establishment are open but will close early. If you're looking to eat out downtown, try Badaboomz (open until 6:00 p.m.), Oceanaire, McCormick and Schmick, and Weber Grill (all open until 8:00 p.m.), Harry and Izzy's, St. Elmo's, and PF Chang's (all closing at 9:00 p.m.) and Morton's and the Capital Grill which close at 10 and 10:30 p.m. respectively.

On the northside, Fleming's is open until 9 p.m. and the restaurant at the Music Mill is open until 10:00 p.m.

Most importantly, don't forget the Christmas Eve sing-a-long at the Chatterbox which starts at 8:00 p.m. There may be frozen pizza (and most definitely beer) involved.

One great option that Bill Benner and the crew over at the ICVA missed for Christmas Eve was Santorini's down in Fountain Square. Nothing like the ever traditional Greek buffet and flaming cheese for Christmas! We were there in full force with our extended family and the place was PACKED! Santa even stopped by to say hello...nice touch!
