Easter Brunch in Indianapolis

I know some of you were hoping for an Easter Brunch round up. Between Thanks to Julia at The Dish for tracking a few of these down. Added to the regular brunch standbys, I think we have some options for you:

Harry & Izzy's -- Crab Cake Benedict, Sweet Potato Polenta (with grilled apples, brown sugar pepper bacon, and warm maple syrup!), and French toast made from vanilla-battered raisin challa. Noon-2 p.m. (Looks like Harry and Izzy's might be doing brunch on a more regular basis, I'll check it out.)

Ruth's Chris Steak House (Northside) -- They've launched a new Sunday brunch and while I haven't checked it out yet, Easter might be a good day to try it. It's New Orleans-style with Gulf Coast Jambalaya, poached eggs Sardou, and other Big Easy dishes inspired by the famed lineup at the Garden District's Commander's Palace. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (Normal brunch hours are 11 a.m.-2 p.m.)

Meridian -- Don't forget this convenient stop for brunch every Sunday, especially when you're standing in the long lines at Petit Chou. Pancakes, Denver omelets, my favorite huevos, and that stuffed French toast that's just *wrong* (but so good.) Oh, and who doesn't love battered and fried apples. 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Palomino -- Not normally open for Sunday brunch, Palomino is taking reservations for Easter brunch, 11 a.m. -3 p.m. Special menus and goodie bags for the wee ones.

Oh Yumm! Bistro -- Specials include biscuits and gravy smothered in beef tenderloin gravy. Seatings at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m.

Puck's is no longer on Opentable.com that I can find, so if that's your preference, you'll need to call ahead. (I wouldn't recommend taking your chances there without reservations.) Opentable also lists a whole bunch of other fine dining spots open with their regular menus, so call ahead and see if they're doing something tasty. Me? Easter is ham, grits (or scalloped potatoes), asparagus, and angel food cake and strawberries. I can hardly wait!

Buggs Temple is also open for Brunch on Sunday. I don't know the hours, but I am pretty sure they will have a buffet.

It's true that Puck's isn't on opentable any longer. Reservations at Puck's are available online here: http://www.wolfgangpuck.com/rsvp/

Puck's is just terrible. It's really sad. Probably not a surprise, but a real waste of money. They try to make it more exclusive by making it so hard to get in, especially for those brunches. Just silly.
