BadaBoomz Changes Direction. Again

Apparently the novelty of the cheeseburger in a doughnut has worn off. Mike DeWeese is abandoning the Badaboomz concept and picking up a Louisville fast-casual concept, J. Gumbo. Apparently, his beer list will stay the same. More over at DIG-B.

I've seen no formal announcement yet, but it's a pretty open secret that TGIFridays will be be moving from their west-side-of-downtown location to a pretty large and central new spot. And with Yat's popularity, I can see how a Yat's-alike could be tempting. But at Yat's prices, one has to pull in a lot of volume. Hopefully, they'll be able to make it work.

Where are they moving to? I'd hoped it would be somewhere with better parking, but if they're going even further into the heart of downtown... :(

Hi there

I have just stumbled upon your blog. I love the clean design and fantastic photos. I am a blogger myself and always thought that design was key and you have certainly captured that! There are so many food blogs out there these days and being different to all the others is key. I have just started www.ifoods.tv which is a website for chefs, foodies and food bloggers to hand out, share recipes, photos and videos. When i was blogging I always thought i should be getting more traffic as my blog was getting lost in the masses of stuff out there so my new site is aimed at giving food bloggers and chefs a bigger platform! Hope you enjoy it and keep up the good writing and design here! I have now bookmarked you so will be regular reader, Cheers!

I never understand comments like this. There is a surplus of parking downtown and if you don't mind walking a few blocks you can usually park for free.

bhorg, its easy to understand comments like that. we are in sprawl-ridden Indianapolis, where everyone is used to parking 2 feet away from the enterance of their neighborhood strip-mall Applebees.

As long as the beer remains... I can see why they need to do something, as they basically offer the same menu as The Ram and Rock Bottom, within a few hundred feet of them... and those places don't have a name that sounds like a middle-schooler came up with it!

In another thought, I'm confounded by the fact there isn't a West-side Yatz. You mean to tell me the people that keep Hook's Fried Food afloat wouldn't love that place?
