Jonah's Seafood Market at Geist

For those of you out at Geist, you've finally got your own meat and fish market to enjoy -- Jonah's Market at Fall Creek and Brooks School Road in the Flagstar Bank building on the corner. Rebecca and Brad have a terrific selection of fresh meat, seafood, pre-made fish dishes (like bacon wrapped scallops and their crab cakes and housemade remoulade) and a solid wine selection. (My favorite treat so far? The crab, chutney and cream cheese spread -- addictive.)

There's only one drawback: If you're looking for local meat, you won't find it here -- not even Viking Lamb. But, if you ask them for it, I'll bet they'll eventually find a way. Similar to a couple of other groups in town, they'll do a custom clam bake for around $50 a person. Just in time for fall!
