A Reader Asks: New Orleans House Recipe

Hey, folks, a reader emailed me with the following question. Can anyone help her out?

I am in desperate search for a recipe for the New Orleans pie that used to be served at the now closed New Orleans House. It was very similar to a derby pie, but had a couple of differences. My husband has been begging me to make this for him, but none of my attempts have come close. Do you or your readers have idea of where I can get the recipe or find one very similar?
