Adobo Grill Goes Non-Smoking
Image via Wikipedia Think your opinions as customers don't make a difference? Javier Fuentes from DaVinci Group just sent me a note saying Adobo downtown will be going non-smoking effective today.
Several commenters last month expressed disappointment that the restaurant had opted to allow smoking which meant families with underage children were no longer allowed. Looks like they've reconsidered. Hopefully some of their customers will, too.

Wonderful news!
Yay! Margaritas and Guacomole here I come!
I got a text from my wife about this tonight, and guess where we went after Pecha Kucha - for the first time...Adobo Grill. Delish.
(Although, apparently some of their clientele hadn't bothered to read the sign.)
Sorry, but I actually appreciated Adobo as being one the few places in this city where you could enjoy a great meal without having to worry about being next to a screaming kid.
Some restaurants in NYC actually have kid free sections. If only there were here in Indy.
Yay for Adobo for choosing nonsmoking. If only all places in Indianapolis would make this same choice, than I could really enjoy going to all restaurants and bars in the city. Maybe someday we will be so lucky.
charles -- where are you eating in downtown where you've encountered screaming kids? I can't remember the last time that happened to me (if at all).
Besides, if it's dealing with smoke or a screaming kid, I'm taking the screaming kid. Smoke is just as annoying as screaming, but affects the sensory experience of eating and drinking on top of that.
We went there again tonight, as a family. It was a bit early, but of the three sets of customers in there, two of us were families. Thanks Adobo Grill!
