Image by airnos via FlickrA lot of people I know, and I'd wager you know, too, observe Lent in one way or another, even if they just give up meat on Fridays. Knowing this widespread tradition, it's more than a little irritating when fine dining menus offer almost no fish options. (For the 2nd week in a row, our regular Friday lunch haunt has given us only one hot option -- today, reducing one dining companion to soup and a salad.) So, what places and dishes do you recommend for Lent? Any particularly noteworthy specials that some chefs roll out for the tender six weeks of spring just before Easter?
