Cafe Patachou to Open Downtown

IBJ is reporting a fourth location of Cafe Patachou will open in the bottom of new Simon headquarters in downtown Indy. In a move which will quickly create a new business power-breakfast hot spot, Cafe Patachou on the Park will be open for breakfast and lunch on weekdays and weekends. (We downtowners need a new, good brunch spot. Sometimes the 49th and Penn location is a little busy with stroller dodging on weekends, plus perky Sat a.m. kids are bad for mommy's hangover.)

Simon officials selected the local independent over Starbucks and California-based Paradise Cafe. Good for Simon for supporting local independent restaurants -- and a darned good one at that! Patachou has dynamite omelettes, always-fresh fruit salad, and famous cinnamon toast. Look for the new restaurant to open as early as July 2006.
