South American Wine Dinner @ Oakleys Bistro

I popped into Oakleys Bistro for lunch today. (Check out their cool new web site!) Honestly, I'd eat there every day if I could.

GM Lisa Cunningham had all the information on their upcoming wine dinner -- South American! As their newsletter notes, the dinner will feature some marvelous wines from Argentina and Chile chosen by Chef Oakley and Sommelier Arthur Black of National Wine and Spirits. (For bonus points, who remembers when Arthur was one of the best waiters at Oakley's while he was working on his sommelier certifications?) The dinner will showcase one of my favorite houses -- Casa Lapostolle in the Chilean Rapel Valley. Here's another bonus question -- what famous liqueur is Casa Lapostolle also known for? Here's a hint, the winemaker there is Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and she still oversees production of Grand Marnier which they've produced for six generations.
